BEHIND THE SCENES

The little ferry crosses every hour for its seven minute journey. There is not much going on here on a regular Tuesday.

I embark to head to the southern shores, calling the local winemaker as we depart. He picks up, but is too busy to meet.

I anticipate that a clear view, and sun will be waiting for me.

“As I reach the beach, the sun peeks in and out from behind the quickly passing clouds. In that sense, it feels like a very typical version of fall.

Apparently this island has more hours of sun than average – but at this moment, I am not impressed. In my head I shout, ‘Embrace the ordinary!’ After shooting a few sheets of film I lie down and somehow manage to fall asleep on the rocky beach.”
