BEHIND THE SCENES

The grey tones are exemplary even this morning. Accompanied by the slightest wind, this place is utterly silent. I have a strong feeling of being somewhere completely forgotten.

A distant horn breaks the silence, followed a few minutes later by rifle shots. Game season.

“Suddenly, I recognize the sound of migrating geese. A fine line of grey spots appears through the hazy sky. Overhead, multiple flocks fly south-westward, making their way toward warmer locales.

I’m on my last sheet of film, with just one chance remaining. As I press the shutter, the geese move into a zig-zag formation – sensitivity at its finest.”
