BEHIND THE SCENES

I’m making my way westward towards Røsnæs through clouds, rain and wind. As I arrive, the sky slowly clears. Way out in the distance the sun is setting. It indirectly lights up the clouds, creating a huge soft and slightly warm “lamp” – a perfect shape and sharpness in the lively waves in front of me.

“I’m well aware that what I see before me is a Golden Age painting.

The great Ansel Adams once said: ‘Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter.’

Photography has its limits and here we are. I return home. Confident, yet also slightly worried. Will this image truly capture what I witnessed?”
